ACCOUNTS

Accounts are issued on departure and are due for payment immediately. Reservations made through third party online booking sites are processed on the day of arrival. Surcharges may apply for credit card payments (see Credit Cards).


AIR CONDITIONING/HEATING

All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning for your comfort. For energy efficiency and environmental care, please set the temperature between 21 and 23 degrees. If you encounter any issues with the system or need adjustments, simply dial 9 on your room phone to contact reception for assistance. Setting the temperature too low may cause the system to freeze and become inoperable, potentially incurring extra repair charges.

BUSINESS SERVICES

CAR PARKING

Parking is free for hotel and restaurant guests. Parking is subject to availability.

Check-in time is 2.00pm.

Check-out time is 10.00am.

FACILITIES  

Guests can enjoy a range of facilities, including the Waldheim Alpine Spa, pool table, and conference and event spaces. Please refer to the Facilities page for more details.

Rooms are serviced daily. For fresh towels or extra amenities, please contact reception.


LAUNDRY

Our 1st-floor guest laundry is free to use, and Laundry Power can be purchased at reception. Laundry service is available Mon-Sat, with same-day return if dropped off before 8 am.


LUGGAGE STORAGE

This service is available to all guests at no charge. Please contact reception to make arrangements.


MOBILE PHONE AND INTERNET ACCESS

Visitors to Cradle Mountain Lodge should be aware that due to our location in a wilderness area, access to mobile telephone networks and internet connections is limited. The Telstra Next G network does provide some coverage around parts of the Lodge and surrounding accommodation; however, connection to other networks may not be available. If you have specific concerns regarding mobile phone or internet coverage, please do not hesitate to contact us. It’s worth noting that many visitors to the Lodge find the escape from such technology one of the most enjoyable aspects of their stay.


PETS

Assistance animals are permitted onto the property and accommodation areas; no other pets are allowed without prior permission from management. Additional cleaning fees do apply.


RECEPTION

For any requirements throughout your stay, please dial 9 from your room phone

Reception is open – 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Should the matter be life threatening, please dial’0’ to get an outside line, then ‘000’ for police, ambulance, or fire attendance or dial 000 from your own device.


SAFE

All rooms have in-room safes

To set your unique safe code.

  1. Press red “reset” button located inside safe door – wait till beep. – close door.
  2. Input your own code ( 4 digits) followed by # button
  3. Green light indicates your code has been accepted – you can now close the safe.
  4. To open – enter your 4 digit code – followed by the # button.
  5. On departure – please leave safe door open

SECURITY

All rooms are fitted with security devices. We recommend that you ensure that you have locked your door and placed the latch over before retiring for the night. For additional safety, we recommend that you also lock your vehicle and that no valuables are left within sight.


GUEST ROOM PARTY POLICY

Parties in guest rooms are strictly prohibited, and exceeding occupancy limits is considered a party. We may take immediate action to ensure other guests’ comfort, which can include eviction with forfeiture of all payments. As a registered guest, you are responsible for any damages caused by your group.


SMOKING

All rooms are designated Non-Smoking. Smoking will only be allowed outside the building. Smoking within our motel rooms is considered to be malicious damage. If a room is found to have been used for smoking by the guests or invitees of the guests a minimum charge of $200.00 will be charged to the guests account or credit card supplied at check-in to compensate for.


SMOKE DETECTORS

All rooms are fitted with smoke detectors which are monitored from a central fire panel. Should you accidentally trigger your smoke detector please contact reception straight away. Triggering a smoke detector will also trigger adjoining rooms in your section of the motel. Attempting to disconnect or tamper with detectors will also trigger them.

Public Phone Available in the Lodge. In-Room Phone Services in Cabins (Subject to Valid Credit Card Pre-Authorisation)


EMERGENCY EVACUATION

Your room’s main entrance door has an evacuation plan and assembly area information.

In case of emergency:

  • Report smoke to reception at extension 9.
  • Wait for notification about evacuation.
  • Check door handle: if hot, don’t open; if not, assess for smoke before exiting.
  • Take your key; it may be safer to return to your room.
  • If leaving, walk calmly, close doors, and return if the hallway is smoky.
  • If staying in room: don’t break windows, seal door with wet towels, turn off air conditioning/venting, wet doors/walls, and cover face with a wet cloth.
